The Howdy SxS = Sit and Stand

The SnS – our latest model. Play sitting, play standing – all in one stand. A lightweight adjustable — and foldable — mountain dulcimer playing stand* that gives you freedom of movement while keeping your dulcimer stable and secure. The SnS is also available with a detachable music stand.

3 things that make The Howdy so handy

This unique mountain dulcimer playing stand helps you achieve the standing playing position that is most comfortable for you.

  1. Stand height: Playing height adjusts from approximately 28 1/2” to 41 1/2”, in 2-inch increments. Add the thickness of your instrument for final fretboard playing height.

  2. Angle: Independently adjusting legs means you can play with the peghead end 2”, 4”, or 6” lower than the tailblock, providing an angled position that people often use when playing seated.

  3. Tilt – Howdy PRO model only: Additionally, the instrument support can tilt away from you, up to approximately 40 degrees — mimicking another common seated playing position.
