Introducing The Howdy Stand. A height-adjustable, tilt-adjustable, angle-adjustable — and folding player’s mountain dulcimer stand.

Three-way adjustment for maximum playing comfort

We are excited to introduce The Howdy Stand! This unique mountain dulcimer playing stand features 3 ways to adjust to get the playing position that is most comfortable for you!

Height is adjustable in 2” increments, from a minimum of xx”, to a maximum of xx”. And, as the legs adjust independently, you can play with the nut/peghead end lower than the bridge end, providing a “sloped” position that many people prefer when playing seated. Additionally, the instrument support can tilt away from you, up to approximately 40 degrees — another common seated playing position.

Sliding and adjustable braces adjust to fit most dulcimers, including teardrop or elliptical shaped instruments. Braces feature a non-slip pad, and silicone bumpers to protect your instrument from damage and securely hold it in place. Small bungee cords are provided to add an extra layer of security when using the tilt feature and attach to strap buttons, or around the peghead for instruments without two strap buttons.

Currently available in radiata/Monterey pine. While this select lumber is technically a softwood, it has a janka hardness rating that is higher than both poplar and alder, yet is strong while still being relatively light.
